By car: About 10 minutes south of the "Takamaru Interchange" of the Daini-Shinmei route of the Hanshin Expressway,
or about 12 minutes south of the "Tarumi Interchange" of the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway (from Awaji only)

From Route 2 (national route), head to the north from the side road; do not enter the tunnel in the center of the road.
The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge (Pearl Bridge) connects Kobe-Maiko with Awaji Island and is the world's
longest suspension bridge (3,911m). At night it is beautifully illuminated, its colors changing with the
time and season. At the foot of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge you can visit the Bridge Exihibition Center, Maiko Marine Promenade
and the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall (Ijokaku).
